THE LEFTOVERS

If you want a perfectly rounded bread, or bread with a nice pattern, using a proofing basket is one way to achieve this. The proofing basket usually is rounded in coils, so when the bread rests in it for a certain number of hours, the coils imprint a spiral-like shape onto the bread (you’ll see this commonly in small bakeries). That being said, if you don’t have a proofing basket, that’s okay. Here are some things you can use instead.
